Organizations in Hong Kong and China are lukewarm to cloud computing. Less than one-fifth of firms in Hong Kong and China plan to use cloud computing, said Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
Releasing results of the first ISACA China Hong Kong IT Risk/Reward Barometer survey, the association noted that 7 percent of respondents' organizations plan to use it for mission-critical IT services; and 47 percent don't plan to use it for any IT services. In addition, 42 percent of IT professionals in China and Hong Kong say that the risks of cloud computing outweigh the benefits, according to survey results.
The survey also gauged organizations' attitudes and behaviors related to IT risk management, said ISACA. According to IT professionals, only 16 percent of organizations are very effective at integrating IT risk management with their overall business risk management, ISACA noted.
Most respondents are of the opinion that increasing risk awareness among employees (34 percent) and improving coordination between IT risk management and overall enterprise risk management (33 percent) are the most important actions going forward, the association added. |
